Modeling Chocolate is now my preferred decoration for cakes! A few weeks ago, I made a cake for my daughter with molded lipstick, compact mirror, and a hairbrush. Now, for my son, I’ve made a space-themed cake and cupcakes decorated with modeling chocolate. I love the look of the planets!
The sun is made out of a 6″ round cake, the planets are made of modeling chocolate, and the moons are candy pearls. The asteroid belt is turbinado sugar.
Modeling Chocolate is simply a combination of chocolate and corn syrup-so easy to make.
Adding color to the white modeling chocolate, then pulling and folding it a few times, really made these look realistic.
What fun shapes have you created with modeling chocolate?
I am going to have to try this. I wondered how you did the planets. Thanks for the post.
